Mr. Omar Greene, having been a recipient of the prestigious Sydney Carter Scholarship offered by Manchester Co-operative Credit Union (1977) Limited, has spent over 20 years with the Credit Union. His training and experience with systems architecture and network systems design has had the institution progress from a paper based, manual driven model to a first world, digital, database driven system. He has held various positions within the organization and is now presently the Information Technology Manager for the institution.
Having served on several Information Technology based committees and project groups for the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League (JCCUL), has led him in developing and honing his skills in problem solving, human relations and team building. He is presently a Committee member of the Credit Union’s Information Technology Council and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Studies from the University of Technology specializing in Management Information Systems, a Diploma in the Spanish Language from the Venezuelan Institute of Jamaica and a Project Management Institute (PMI) certification from the University of the West Indies.
