Manchester Co-operative Credit Union (1977) Limited celebrated Credit Union Week from October 15 – 20, 2023, under the theme “Celebrating the Credit Union Difference”. The week of activities started with a Church Service at the Mandeville Baptist Church on Sunday, October 15, 2023. The celebration continued with the Soup and Soap Outreach Project on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, in which food and toiletry items were handed over to the New Vision Children’s Home in Coleyville, Christiana. The team then moved over to the town of Porus where they hosted a “Pop-up Shop” in which members of the community were engaged for their own Members’ Appreciation Day. On Wednesday, October 18, 2023 and Thursday, October 19, 2023 the Credit Union then hosted its Members’ Appreciation Days at its Christiana and Mandeville Branches, respectively. The appreciation days saw members been treated to free health checks, refreshment and souvenir items along with increased staff interaction. The week of celebrations came to an end with a Seniors’ Lyme on Friday, October 20, 2023. This is where appreciation was extended to the Senior Members in a Social Mingle. Throughout the week of celebrations, CUNA Caribbean Insurance Jamaica Ltd. and Nurses from the Southern Regional Health Authority were the associate partners in providing health and insurance coverage. A big thank you to the members for being a part of the Manchester Co-operative Credit Union family.
