The Manchester Co-operative Credit Union (1977) Limited is committed to education and developing the youth as the future of this nation. To this end, a total of $1.9M was awarded to 28 students from across the parish of Manchester at the Sydney Carter Scholarship and PEP Bursary Awards Banquet, held at the Mandeville Hotel on August 16th, 2019.

It was a spectacular evening which saw these students and their parents well dressed and delighted to accept the packages that will assist in starting the next leg of their educational journey. The Jamaica Teachers’ Association President-Elect, Mr. Jasford Gabriel, was the guest speaker for the evening and eloquently charged the students to be responsible and committed to their future, as the Credit Union has done its part to make this happen.

Guests were delighted as they listened to the skillful and talented saxophonist, Mr. Seymour Heron, who thrilled hearts and minds and inspired the young ones to soar above the skies.
