JACCUM Workday Project

The Jamaica Association of Co-operative Credit Union Managers (JACCUM), along with the Manchester Co-operative Credit Union and the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League, embarked on a journey to assist a school in refurbishing and refreshing its environs for the new school year. The chosen institution was the Devon Primary School in Manchester.

A total of 6 credit unions, along with their managers, joined the Manchester Co-operative Credit Union on Saturday, August 23, 2019 and journeyed to the cool hills of Devon. An early start to the day ensured that several activities were carried out:

Painting the full exterior of the building
Wiring the computer room for data and internet
Sweeping classrooms and cleaning windows
Cleaning drainage pipes and fixing a standpipe
Replacing the starters and tube bulbs in each classroom
