Dormant Account Notice

The Manchester Co-operative Credit Union (1977) Limited is calling all members with dormant accounts to visit their nearest branch to reactivate their accounts.
An account is dormant after a period of twelve (12) months or more of no activity (deposit or withdrawal) on the account. To avoid your Share account being considered ‘dormant’, a financial transaction (deposit, withdrawal, or transfer) must be posted to your account at least once a year.
What does this mean?
Please be assured that your savings are still in your account and will continue to earn dividend annually, if applicable. However, if your account remains dormant for a long period of time, the Credit Union could be forced to transfer your funds into a welfare account, which will affect your membership.
Additionally, once your account is dormant, no transactions can be carried out on your account unless you reactivate it by taking the following steps:
- A valid Photo ID (Passport, Driver’s Licence or Voter’s ID)
- Proof of your current address (dated within the last 3 months)
- Tax Payer Registration Number (TRN)
Come in and experience the benefit of being an active member. Visit us now or call us at (876) 962-0401 or 962-3584.
