Why they matter

Ownership, not just an account

Unlike a bank customer, every MCCU member is an owner. Permanent Shares are how that ownership is held, and how you share in what the credit union earns.

1

Required for membership

Permanent Shares are required to become and remain a member of the credit union.

2

Minimum share value

The minimum value of a Permanent Share is $2,000.00, and it can be increased to as much as $5,000.00.

3

Long-term capital

They provide a stable source of long-term funds, or capital, for the credit union.

4

Earn dividends

Dividends are paid subject to profitability. Conditions apply.

Permanent Shares can only be withdrawn upon the closure of your account, in keeping with international accounting standards for credit unions. The terms and conditions of the products are subject to change from time to time; please confirm the current terms and conditions with a Member Service Representative.
